The Efes of the Net achieve historic success
The Turkish Men's National Volleyball Team defeated the Netherlands 3-1 in the 2025 World Championship to secure a spot in the quarterfinals. The Efes of the Net will compete in the quarterfinals for the first time in the championship's history.
In the Men's World Volleyball Championship held in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, the Turkish Men's National Volleyball Team faced the Netherlands in the round of 16.
While the first set of the match ended with a 29-27 lead for the Netherlands, the Efes of the Net came from behind to leave the court victorious. The National Team won the second set 25-23, the third set 25-16, and the fourth set 21-17 to advance to the quarterfinals.
FINISHED THE GROUP AS LEADERS
The Turkish Men's National Volleyball Team had finished the group stage of the 2025 World Championship undefeated as leaders. The national team defeated Japan, Libya, and Canada in order to advance to the round of 16 as group winners.
The Efes of the Net achieved a 3-for-3 record for the first time in the championship's history.
