Following the identification of the person responsible for the starting 11 leaking before matches at Galatasaray, the club has ended its employment relationship with a staff member who had served for many years.
Executives at Galatasaray Sports Club launched a comprehensive investigation to resolve the "squad leak" issue, which had recently come to the fore due to increasing complaints from head coach Okan Buruk. Investigations revealed that the source leading to Galatasaray's starting 11 being shared on social media and in the press before important matches was within the club.
It has been alleged that Administrative Affairs Specialist Tuğçe Aykun, who has been working for the yellow-reds for approximately 16 years, was the person behind these leaks.
According to the report by Erdem Açıkgöz, the executives decided to terminate Aykun's employment contract in light of detailed investigations and the findings obtained.
