The Turkish team contributing most to the UEFA country coefficient has been determined

The final group stage matches in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Europa Conference League were played during the week.

Before these matches, Galatasaray was the Turkish team that had contributed the most to the country coefficient with 41 points, while Fenerbahçe was in second place with 40 points.

Galatasaray finished the week without points after losing to Copenhagen in the Champions League, while the Yellow Canaries, who finished their group as leaders by defeating Spartak Trnava in the UEFA Europa Conference League, increased their points to 44 and became the new leader.

FENERBAHÇE SPENT 2 OF THE LAST 5 SEASONS ON THE SIDELINES

It is noteworthy that Fenerbahçe rose to the top in collecting country coefficient points despite not participating in European cups in two of the last five seasons. The Yellow-Navy team did not experience a European adventure in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons.

After two seasons on the sidelines, Fenerbahçe collected 7 points in 2021-22 and finished the 2022-23 season with 21 points.

In the current 2023-24 season, the Yellow Canaries, who have already secured their place in the round of 16 in the Conference League, have collected 16 points so far.

BAŞAKŞEHİR AND SİVASSPOR SURPASSED BEŞİKTAŞ AND TRABZONSPOR

In the ranking of teams that have collected the most points for Turkey, Fenerbahçe leads with 44 points, followed by Galatasaray with 41 points. The Lions, who competed in the Champions League this season but bid farewell to the "Giants' League" after the group matches, will continue their journey in the Europa League round of 16 play-offs.

In the rankings, Başakşehir is in third place with 34 points, and Sivasspor is in fourth place with 17.5 points. Beşiktaş remains fifth on the list with 16.5 points, while Trabzonspor is in sixth place with 13 points. The teams that have participated in European cups on behalf of Turkey in the last five seasons and the points these teams have collected are as follows:

Contribution to country coefficient

* Fenerbahçe - 44

* Galatasaray - 41

* Başakşehir - 34

* Sivasspor - 17.5

FENERBAHÇE IS THE BEST-RANKED TEAM

The UEFA club coefficient calculation is based on the last five seasons, just like the country coefficient. In the list, Başakşehir is in 62nd place with 29 points, and Sivasspor is in 100th place with 16.5 points.
