The Turkish Football Federation Arbitration Board has rejected the appeals of 35 footballers who were penalized due to betting. Galatasaray's appeal regarding the Kocaelispor match was also denied.
According to information published on the official website of the Turkish Football Federation, the Arbitration Board unanimously rejected the appeals of 35 footballers who received bans ranging from 3 to 12 months due to betting activities. This decision also covers the players' requests for the suspension of their sentences.
Furthermore, Galatasaray's appeal against the fines imposed by the Professional Football Discipline Committee following their match against Kocaelispor also proved unsuccessful. The yellow-red club had been fined a total of 860 thousand lira, consisting of 520 thousand lira for ugly and bad chants, 120 thousand lira for blocked stairwells, and 220 thousand lira for pitch incidents caused by their fans. The Arbitration Board has upheld these fines as well.
