Transfer talks between Galatasaray and Göztepe gain momentum
While Göztepe has added forward Ahmed Kutucu, who is expected to leave Galatasaray, to its transfer list, Galatasaray is preparing an offer to Göztepe for Arda Okan Kurtulan.
Intense player traffic is taking place between Galatasaray and Göztepe as both clubs accelerate their transfer efforts ahead of the new season. The İzmir representative has initiated moves to sign 26-year-old center-forward Ahmed Kutucu, who is set to depart Galatasaray, while Galatasaray, having secured its fourth consecutive championship, has set its sights on Göztepe's right-back Arda Okan Kurtulan.
It has been learned that head coach Okan Buruk has submitted a special report to the management regarding the transfer of Arda Okan and has requested that the player be included in the squad. Information also suggests that Buruk has been using his personal relationship with Göztepe Honorary President Mehmet Sepil to make contact regarding the transfer.
On the other hand, the name Ahmed Kutucu is at the top of the list for Göztepe. It is noted that Kutucu, who could not find a chance to play regularly at Galatasaray last season, is also open to wearing the Göztepe jersey. Sport Republic, which manages the football branch of the yellow-and-red İzmir team, has set a transfer fee of 15 million Euros or more for the 23-year-old player following offers for Arda Okan Kurtulan from both domestic and international clubs.
Arda Okan Kurtulan was transferred to Göztepe from Adana Demirspor at the beginning of last season, having been raised in the Fenerbahçe youth academy. The clubs are expected to hold face-to-face meetings regarding the transfers of Ahmed Kutucu and Arda Okan Kurtulan in the near future.
