Two players removed from the Turkish National Team squad
Changes have been made to the Turkish National Team's squad ahead of their journey to Berlin today for the friendly match against Germany on November 18.
TFF has announced that Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Cengiz Ünder have been removed from the Turkish National Team squad.
The statement from the TFF included the following:
"Our national player Cengiz Ünder was invited to the Turkish National Team squad for the Germany and Wales matches so that he could personally experience the training methods and football philosophy of our new technical staff and work with his teammates. In accordance with the previously established plan, he has left the camp squad before the team's departure for Berlin.
Our team captain Hakan Çalhanoğlu was unable to participate in the training sessions held by our National Team yesterday and today due to an upper respiratory tract infection. In addition to his medical condition, the fact that his wife is expecting a baby and is very close to her due date was also taken into consideration, and it has been decided by our technical staff that he be removed from the Turkish National Team squad."
