U20 Women's National Volleyball Team are European Champions
The Turkey U20 Women's National Volleyball Team became European champions by defeating Italy 3-2 in the final of the European Championship.
The crescent-and-star team, which finished its group as the leader with 7 wins out of 7 in the tournament hosted by Bulgaria and Ireland, had advanced to the final by defeating Poland in the semi-finals.
The national team reached the European championship by beating Italy 3-2 in the final match played in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, which lasted 117 minutes, with set scores of 22-25, 25-16, 25-19, 17-25, and 15-11.
