UEFA misspells Beşiktaş's stadium name, reaction follows immediately
Beşiktaş Club has requested that UEFA correct the stadium name after it was announced as "Şenol Güneş Sports Complex" for the UEFA Europa League Matchday 2 fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt.
On UEFA's official website, the stadium information for the Beşiktaş-Eintracht Frankfurt match was listed as "Şenol Güneş Sports Complex," while the image used was that of Beşiktaş Stadium.
In a statement released by the black-and-white club's English-language social media account, a request was made for the necessary correction, including the following remarks:
"Beşiktaş Stadium, which you previously announced will host the 2026 Europa League final, or Tüpraş Stadium, where our Süper Lig matches are played, is the venue where we play our home matches in the UEFA Europa League. We kindly request that the name be corrected immediately."
