According to a report by NTV Spor, an independent investigation commissioned by UEFA had previously cleared Liverpool fans, who were initially blamed for the pre-match incidents, and their ticket money had been refunded. In a new statement, UEFA announced that it has reached a settlement with fans who claimed to have been injured during the final and that compensation will be paid.

The kickoff of the Champions League final was delayed by more than 30 minutes on Saturday night due to the late arrival of fans.
