UEFA revenue hits a record high at Galatasaray! Dursun Özbek reveals the figure

Galatasaray Sports Club's annual ordinary budget meeting was held at the Haliç Congress Center. Speaking at the meeting, Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek shared notable information regarding the revenue the club generated from European competitions.

EUROPEAN ADVENTURE ENDED IN THE ROUND OF 16

The yellow-red team began their UEFA Champions League season in the league phase. After the results obtained from the matches played during the group stage, Galatasaray advanced to the next round and was paired with Italian representative Juventus in the play-off stage.

Having succeeded in passing that round, the yellow-reds faced Liverpool, whom they had previously encountered in the league phase, once again in the Round of 16. After winning the first leg played in Istanbul, Galatasaray bid farewell to the tournament at this stage following a heavy defeat in the away match.

A PEAK SEASON IN UEFA REVENUE

In the financial report presented at the meeting, it was stated that the revenue the club earned from European competitions reached a remarkable level. According to the shared data, Galatasaray experienced a season in which it reached one of the highest revenues in its history from UEFA organizations.

President Dursun Özbek stated, "With our performance in the Champions League, we generated 60 million euros in revenue over the last 2 months. We aim to keep this revenue item at these levels with the continuation of our successes. Of course, there are areas we need to improve. Broadcasting revenues are not at the level we want. Additionally, our efforts to create new revenue sources in the international market are continuing."
