VAR recordings for the 12th week of the Super Lig have been released
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has released the VAR recordings for the matches played during the 12th week of the Trendyol Super Lig.
The TFF has shared the audio and video recordings of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) reviews for 5 matches played in the 12th week of the Super Lig on its YouTube account. The matches and decisions included in the video are as follows:
- In the 19th minute of the Kasımpaşa - Kayserispor match, following a position involving the visiting team's Bahoken, referee Mehmet Türkmen was called to the monitor by VAR for a potential penalty. After reviewing the incident, Türkmen pointed to the penalty spot, citing a foul by Kasımpaşa player Yasin Özcan on Bahoken.
- In the 55th minute of the Antalyaspor - Bodrum FK match, during a Bodrum FK attack, Gökdeniz Bayrakdar entered a goal-scoring position before the defense cleared the ball for a corner. Referee Alper Akarsu was called to the monitor by VAR. After determining that Güray Vural had handled the ball while Gökdeniz was attempting to cross it from the right flank, referee Akarsu returned to the pitch and awarded a penalty.
- In the 77th minute of the Göztepe - Konyaspor match, referee Muhammet Ali Metoğlu went to the VAR monitor for a potential penalty decision. Although Oğulcan Ülgün of the green-and-white team was brought down by goalkeeper Mateusz Lis inside the penalty area, the match resumed with an offside decision, as it was determined that Oğulcan was in an offside position at the start of the play.
- In the 88th minute of the Galatasaray - Samsunspor match, following the conclusion of a visiting team attack, referee Halil Umut Meler was advised by VAR to conduct a potential penalty review. Referee Meler determined that Victor Nelsson had pushed Soner Aydoğdu inside the penalty area and pointed to the penalty spot.
- In the 24th minute of the Fenerbahçe - Sivasspor match, after the yellow-and-navy team scored a goal through Samet Akaydin, referee Kadir Sağlam was called to the monitor by VAR for a 'goal cancellation review.' Kadir Sağlam stated that he would stick to his original decision, returned to the pitch, and signaled for the kickoff.
- In the 50th minute of the same match, following a position involving Fenerbahçe's Youssef En-Nesyri, referee Kadir Sağlam was advised by VAR to conduct a potential penalty review. After reviewing the incident, Sağlam determined that the goalkeeper had made contact with En-Nesyri and pointed to the penalty spot.
