VAR SUPPORT implementation begins

TFF has announced that it will transition to the VAR Support system as part of preparations for the upcoming season.

The statement made by the TFF is as follows:

Starting from the 28th week of the Süper Lig, as well as in the Turkcell Super Cup and Ziraat Turkish Cup Finals, the VAR Support system will be implemented as part of preparations for the next season. In addition to the VAR referee, who is also utilized in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League Finals as well as the EURO 2020 European Football Championship, a second VAR referee, the VAR SUPPORT / VAR Supporter system, will be used during matches.

In the system where a second VAR referee will serve behind the VAR referees, the final decision will still belong to the VAR referee, and the 'VAR supporter' will only assist the VAR by monitoring screens to find the best angle and confirming criteria.

Week 28: Beşiktaş-Galatasaray

Week 30: Trabzonspor-Fenerbahçe

Week 34: Fenerbahçe-Beşiktaş
