Victor Osimhen rises to the top of the goalscoring charts
Galatasaray's Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has climbed to the top of the goalscoring race after scoring a hat-trick in the match against Antalyaspor.
In the 28th week of the Süper Lig, Galatasaray faced Antalyaspor at home, with the yellow-reds' Nigerian footballer Victor Osimhen scoring 3 goals.
In the 30th minute of the match, Osimhen followed a ball played inside by Alvaro Morata—who had received a pass from Barış Alper Yılmaz on the left side of the penalty area—and sent the ball into the net at the back post to make it 1-0. The 26-year-old footballer then met a ball brought in from the right wing by Barış Alper in the 45+2nd minute, finding the net in front of the goal to bring the score to 3-0.
In the 52nd minute of the match, the Nigerian footballer received the ball on the left side of the penalty area following a pass from Yunus Akgün, and his low shot found the back of the net, making the score 4-0.
OSIMHEN SCORES HIS FIRST HAT-TRICK
Victor Osimhen thus scored his first hat-trick for the yellow-reds. Osimhen increased his goal tally in the Süper Lig to 20, surpassing Başakşehir's Polish footballer Krzysztof Piatek, who has 18 goals, to rise to the top of the goalscoring race. The Nigerian footballer, who also has 6 goals in the UEFA Europa League, has brought his total goal count for this season to 26.
Victor Osimhen, who started the match in the starting 11, was replaced by Dries Mertens in the 68th minute.
