Will Fenerbahçe be able to play in La Liga? The first response has come from Spain

After its players were attacked following the Trabzonspor match, Fenerbahçe decided to hold an extraordinary general assembly to discuss the agenda of withdrawing from the league.

While all eyes are on the extraordinary general assembly on April 2, it was suggested that the Yellow-Navy Blues have begun seeking to apply to play in another league. It was claimed that these leagues include the Jupiler Pro League, Eredivisie, Ligue 1, and La Liga.

In the assessment made, it was underlined that Fenerbahçe would not be able to participate in La Liga. The report stated, "According to Spanish law, no team from outside the country can compete in national or local leagues. However, there is one exception. According to the laws, clubs from Andorra can participate in Spanish leagues."

EVEN BARCELONA MIGHT NOT BE IN LA LIGA

The world's most famous Catalan club, Barcelona, is able to compete in La Liga because Catalonia is not independent. However, new developments could occur if Catalonia declares its independence.

La Liga President Javier Tebas announced in 2017 that if Catalonia were to declare independence, Barcelona would not be able to participate in La Liga.
