Super Lig champions Galatasaray and Turkish Cup winners Fenerbahçe will face off for the Super Cup this evening (December 29).

The critical match will be played at Al-Awwal Park (King Saud University) Stadium in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

Ahead of the massive encounter, Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk made a statement regarding the health status of Mauro Icardi, who was injured in the league derby.

"HE WANTS TO BE ON THE PITCH WITH A MASK"

Stating that Mauro Icardi suffered a fracture during the league derby, Buruk said of his successful striker, "He wants to be on the pitch with a mask."

THERE IS ALSO A PROBLEM WITH HIS NOSE

Noting that Mauro Icardi received blows in 2-3 different positions during the derby, which ended 0-0, Okan Buruk said that the Argentine forward also has a problem with his nose.

FINAL DECISION WILL BE MADE TODAY

Okan Buruk reported that Icardi took part in yesterday's training session and that the final decision regarding the player will be made today after the doctors perform a final check.
