Following the assault on referee Halil Umut Meler by former Ankaragücü president Faruk Koca, referees had decided not to officiate matches.

TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi, who announced immediately after the attack that the leagues were postponed indefinitely, had announced in a statement made the other day that matches in the Süper Lig would resume on December 19.

REFEREES HAVE MADE THEIR DECISION

According to a report by TRT Spor, it was stated that the referees who met with Büyükekşi have decided to take the field for matches. It was reported that the referees would issue a written statement during the day to explain the details of the meeting.

The organization planned for this weekend for the referees and their families has been canceled.

The Süper Lig will restart on December 19 with 3 matches to be played.
