Yüksel Yıldırım takes a jab at Hakan Safi: 'Deceiving fans with empty promises harms clubs'

Samsunspor President Yüksel Yıldırım’s assessments regarding the presidential election at Fenerbahçe have resonated widely on social media. While yellow-and-navy fans have reacted in various ways to Yıldırım’s statements, the experienced president’s remarks have also sparked debate on the football agenda.

In his assessment, Yıldırım stated, "Fenerbahçe will determine its president today. Deceiving fans by making empty promises harms clubs. In this economy, it is not becoming of people to deceive the fans."

Furthermore, Yüksel Yıldırım touched upon the realism of promises made during the transfer process, saying, "Presenting unmade transfers as if they were completed... We shall see, we will watch. How will that money be found and paid? We will see. Where will the state stand in this? If our state is helping clubs, we will also get in line and ask. It is clear and simple. Justice must be provided to everyone."

Yıldırım also spoke about his personal goals and described his preparation for a new era in Turkish football with the following words: "My time to slam my fist on the table in Turkish football is coming. My apprenticeship and journeyman periods are over. Now, my master period begins."
