Concert themed 'Turkish female composers' held in Paris

A concert featuring Güray Başol's album "Female Composers in the 100th Year of the Republic: Nazife Aral Güran-Yüksel Koptagel" was held at the UNESCO Permanent Delegation of Turkey in Paris to mark International Women's Day on March 8.

Concert themed 'Turkish female composers' held in Paris

The event, hosted by the Permanent Representative of Turkey to UNESCO, Ambassador Prof. Dr. Gülnur Aybet on March 6, was attended by guests from many countries, including the United States, Australia, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Qatar, as well as representatives from the Yunus Emre Institute, which supported the album.

Pianist Güray Başol performed works from the album by two female composers born during the Republic era, each with different musical styles and educational backgrounds.

Soprano Chimène Seymen performed the vocal-piano works of our composers.

One of the most special moments of the evening was the presence of 1931-born composer and pianist Yüksel Koptagel, whose works were performed at the concert, among the audience.

The evening, which began with an opening speech by Ambassador Gülnur Aybet and continued with a musical feast, concluded with the audience praising and congratulating the artists.
