Why did Şinasi Yurtsever die, what was his illness?

Şinasi Yurtsever, known to wide audiences for his character Hilmi in the series Kardeş Payı, passed away on March 13, 2025. The death of the 51-year-old actor has left his friends and the art community in mourning. A memorial service was first held for Şinasi Yurtsever at the Atatürk Cultural Center, after which he was laid to rest at the Zincirlikuyu Cemetery.

Ahmet Kural, who took the stage at the memorial service, began his speech by saying, "Before I started my acting career, we met at a venue around here in 2006. I told him I was a huge fan. In 2009, we went to Mardin to shoot a series, and I was waiting for him to arrive there," but he had to cut his speech short as he could not hold back his tears.

Onur Buldu remembered his friend Şinasi Yurtsever with these words: "Everyone who knew Şinasi would admire his joy, his honesty, and his sense of justice. We met on a film set. After that, I never let him leave my life. He was a man with the heart of a child. If we didn't call each other for a while, he would immediately get offended and sulk. I used to call him 'child-man.' I think that was the sentence that described him best. Who are we going to tease now, brother? Who are we going to jump on when we score a goal? What can we stuff into that huge void? Goodbye Şinasi brother, goodbye 'child-man,' goodbye to the greatest Beşiktaş fan. Thank you for your presence in our lives."

Şinasi Yurtsever, who was diagnosed with stomach cancer last year, had recovered through the treatment he received. However, Şinasi Yurtsever, who was hospitalized about two weeks ago with a diagnosis of pneumonia, lost his life as a result of complications that developed.
