1-ton sacrificial bull sold for 300 thousand liras
A farmer in Kars sold his 1 ton 150 kilogram bull named 'Şahmurat' for 300 thousand liras.
Erol Çolak, a livestock farmer in the village of Kümbetli in central Kars, put his French Charolais bull, which he has cared for meticulously for 2 years and named 'Şahmurat', up for sale for the Feast of Sacrifice (Eid al-Adha). The bull, weighing 1 ton 150 kilograms, found a buyer for 300 thousand TL.
CONSUMES 30 KILOGRAMS OF FEED
The French Charolais bull consumes 30 kilograms of feed per day. Having been carefully fed for 2 years, it is surprising that Şahmurat reached such a weight at 28 months old.
'I CARED FOR IT LIKE MY OWN CHILD'
Livestock farmer Erol Çolak, who cared for Şahmurat, said, "I cared for 'Şahmurat' like my own child. I gave it a bath once a month. I groomed it and never neglected its cleanliness."
