A partial collapse occurred in a 6-story building located on Düz Street in the Cihangir neighborhood of Istanbul's Avcılar district, where demolition work had begun as part of urban transformation efforts but had been paused for the Eid al-Adha holiday.
Upon notification, police, fire department, and municipal police teams were dispatched to the area.
The teams set up a security cordon around the building and closed the street to vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
Following inspections, the apartment buildings adjacent to the collapsed structure were evacuated as a precautionary measure.
