6 unlicensed coal mines destroyed in Zonguldak
Six coal mines determined to be operating without a license in the Kilimli district of Zonguldak have been shut down.
According to a statement from the Zonguldak Governor's Office, operations were carried out by Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams targeting mines operating without a license.
In the 6 mines determined to be operating illegally, 4 cranes, 4 wagons, 105 meters of rail, and 16 tons of coal were seized.
The destruction of the mines was carried out by teams from the Turkish Hard Coal Enterprises (TTK).
The seized materials were handed over to the Regional Directorate of Forestry teams, as the mines were located within forest boundaries.
