Attention Ankara residents: These roads will be closed to traffic

The "1920 Run," organized specifically for the 106th anniversary of Anadolu Agency in Ankara, will affect transportation on major routes in the city. The Ankara Police Department announced that due to the event, some roads will be closed to vehicle traffic in both directions starting from the morning hours on Sunday, April 5.

According to the statement, the run will start at 08:30 in front of the Anadolu Agency building on Gazi Mustafa Kemal (GMK) Boulevard. Due to the event, the section of GMK Boulevard between the Demirtepe underpass and Anadolu Square will be closed to traffic in both directions.

Furthermore, all side roads descending toward Anadolu Square on Celal Bayar Boulevard, the section of Kazım Karabekir Street between the Ulaştırma Junction and Anadolu Square, and the part of Dögol Street between the Beşevler Junction and Anadolu Square will also be kept closed to vehicle use in both directions.

In addition, the section of Mareşal Fevzi Çakmak Street located between İnönü Boulevard and the Beşevler Junction, the part of Akdeniz Street between Aşkabat Street and Gençlik Street, the section of Gençlik Street remaining between Necatibey and Anıt Street, and the entirety of Anıt Street will be closed to vehicle passage. It was reported that in addition to these routes, all streets, avenues, and ramps connecting to these roads will also be subject to two-way traffic restrictions.
