ATV censors young person protesting unemployment on Müge Anlı! 'Do I have connections? We are poor youths...'

A dialogue on the famous morning show has brought the concerns of youth regarding unemployment and job placement back to the agenda. 24-year-old Rümeysa Eda Dağlar, who appeared on the "Müge Anlı ile Tatlı Sert" program, became a topic of discussion both due to a fraud allegation and her expression of difficulties in the job market.

When Müge Anlı asked her on live television, "Why aren't you working in your own profession?" Dağlar replied: "Do I have connections, for God's sake? My friend is a history teacher, and we are working at the same market. We are poor youths who cannot find a proper job, Müge Abla. That's how it is; you know the situation is pathetic. I graduated in 2021, I went to so many hospitals, door to door, no one hired me."

The young woman's statements regarding both her friends' and her own inability to find work were removed from the recordings published on the broadcaster's digital platforms, especially on the internet. Expressions such as "connections" (torpil) and "pathetic" (içler acısı) in the relevant parts of the program were not included in the videos.
