Brutality in Hatay: He beat his mother with a stick and killed his wife who intervened!

In the incident that took place in the Mayadalı neighborhood of Hatay's Altınözü district, it was learned that 30-year-old Abdulsamet Akay and his 26-year-old wife, Emel Akay, lived together with their two children.

It was stated that Abdulsamet Akay, who allegedly has psychological issues, argued with his mother for an unknown reason on March 28 and attacked her with a stick he grabbed during the argument. It was reported that Emel Akay, who intervened in what was happening in the house, tried to pull her husband away.

HE STABBED HIS WIFE 8 TIMES

It was stated that Abdulsamet Akay, who was removed from the scene following his wife's intervention, returned with a knife found in the house and attacked Emel Akay. According to initial findings, it was determined that Emel Akay was stabbed in 8 places on her body.

Upon the notification of those around, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Emel Akay, who was taken to the hospital in critical condition, could not be saved despite all interventions.

It was learned that Abdulsamet Akay, who killed his wife, had a record in the mental health and nervous diseases department and had also attempted suicide in the past.

Akay, who was taken into custody by gendarmerie teams, was arrested by the court he was brought before.
