Brutality in Mersin: Disabled husband murdered his wife the day before yesterday and his child yesterday!

In the Arpaçsakarlar neighborhood of the central Toroslar district in Mersin, Leyla Ç. (50) went to clean the apartment she had purchased in a newly completed building. A short time later, her husband, Zafer Ç. (46), also went to join his wife.

An argument broke out between the couple for reasons yet unknown. During the argument, Leyla Ç. was shot in the head by her husband, Zafer Ç., on the street in front of the building and was killed.

The murder suspect husband fled the scene, taking his 8-year-old son, M.Ç., with him.

The body of the murdered woman was taken to the Mersin University Faculty of Medicine Hospital for an autopsy following the police investigation at the scene, and an operation was launched to apprehend the suspect.

While efforts to apprehend the suspect were ongoing, it was revealed late last night that the suspect had also killed his 8-year-old son, M.Ç., whom he had taken with him, and then attempted suicide.

Responding to a report, police teams went to an area near a hotel in the rural part of the central Toroslar district and determined that the 8-year-old child had been shot in the head with a handgun and killed, and that the suspect, Zafer Ç., had attempted suicide by shooting himself in the chest with the same weapon.

The suspect, who killed his wife the day before yesterday and his son yesterday, was taken to Mersin City Hospital by ambulance for treatment, while the child's body was taken to the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
