Explaining that he poured the acid, which he had taken to pour onto marble, onto Buket A.'s face during the argument, Ramazan A. stated that some of the acid also splashed onto him, and that he left the scene, washed his face at a gas station, and then went to the Ezine district to surrender to the police.

Complainant Buket A. stated that she had no romantic relationship with Ramazan A. and that she had not accepted his marriage proposal, saying, "He came to talk on the day of the incident. He mentioned a video of me dancing next to a darbuka player at a birthday party I organized for my friend. I told him that this did not concern him. He said, 'You'll see who it is, I will make your face unrecognizable.' He grabbed me by the hair and threw the acid in my face. He had previously done work at my boss's house; he had no other business on the lower floor of my workplace."

Explaining that she lost her left eye due to the incident and received both dermatological and psychological treatment in the hospital for a month, Buket A. said that she paid for the medications used in her treatment out of her own pocket because they were imported from abroad.

Buket A.'s lawyer, İbrahim Selman Şuşoğlu, argued that the statements of the detained defendant were contradictory and inconsistent, saying, "I believe he planned this act. He had even posted about it on social media a few days before the incident."

Lawyer Şuşoğlu stated that they requested the continuation of the defendant's detention.

Complainant Tuğçe Y., who was injured in the arm by the acid during the incident, also stated that she was filing a complaint against the detained defendant, Ramazan A.

The court, which took a recess, decided to continue the detention of Ramazan A. and requested that the posts made by the defendant on his social media account before the day of the incident, as well as the costs of the medications used in the treatment of the complainant Buket A., be calculated and submitted to the court.

The court adjourned the hearing to August 1.
