Death toll in Dilovası fire tragedy rises to 7
The number of people who died in the fire at a cosmetics factory in the Dilovası district of Kocaeli has risen to 7.
Tuncay Yıldız, who was severely injured in the fire that broke out on November 8 at a cosmetics factory in the Mimar Sinan neighborhood of Kocaeli's Dilovası district, has passed away at the Kocaeli City Hospital where he was receiving treatment. With this, the number of people who lost their lives in the fire has reached 7.
6 WORKERS, INCLUDING 3 CHILDREN AND 3 WOMEN, LOST THEIR LIVES
In the fire, Tuğba Taşdemir (17), her cousin Nisanur Taşdemir (15), Cansu Esetoğlu (15), Hanım Gülek (52), Esma Gikan (31), and Şengül Yılmaz (59) had lost their lives, and 7 people were injured.
7 PEOPLE ARRESTED
Within the scope of the investigation launched into the fire, 11 people, including the business owner K.O., were taken into custody. While 7 of these individuals were arrested, Dilovası Deputy Mayor N.T., Municipal Police Chief N.B., and municipal police personnel C.T., Ö.K., and T.İ. were suspended from their duties.
