Drunken driver terror in Kırıkkale: Ignored 'stop' order, injured 3 police officers, and was released!

A chase that took place at night in Kırıkkale turned into a scuffle when the apprehended driver resisted the police teams.

In the incident that occurred on Orgeneral Arif Çetin Street in the Bağlarbaşı neighborhood, the driver of the vehicle with license plate 71 AEK 480, O.K. (24), was signaled to stop near the Etiler Junction on suspicion of driving under the influence. The driver, who did not comply with the police's 'stop' order, began to flee in his vehicle. After a short pursuit, the driver was caught, and a breathalyzer test revealed he had a blood alcohol level of 1.41 promille.

RESISTED THE POLICE

Refusing to get into the patrol car, the driver resisted the police teams and uttered threats and insults. During the scuffle, police officers H.İ., Ö.S., and S.A. were injured as a result of being assaulted. With the intervention of reinforcement teams dispatched to the area, the suspect was neutralized and taken into custody.

FINED 646 THOUSAND LIRAS

Traffic teams imposed a total administrative fine of 646 thousand liras on the driver under the Highway Traffic Law. The driver's license was confiscated, and his vehicle was banned from traffic for 60 days.

The suspect, who was taken into custody upon the instructions of the public prosecutor, was referred to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station. The suspect was released after giving his statement.
