Factory fire in Bursa brought under control after 4 hours
A fire that broke out overnight at a chemical coating factory operating in the Minareliçavuş Organized Industrial Zone in Bursa's Nilüfer district has been brought under control following 4 hours of intensive intervention.
The fire started for an unknown reason at approximately 01:30 in the section of the factory located on N15 Street, where metal surface treatment processes for the automotive sector are carried out.
As the flames grew rapidly and engulfed a large part of the factory, it was reported that some walls collapsed due to the intensity of the fire.
Upon notification, numerous firefighting teams were dispatched to the area, and intensive measures were taken to prevent the flames from spreading to other nearby factories.
Water tankers from the Regional Directorate of Forestry also joined the extinguishing efforts to support the operation. During the fire, which sent flames rising high, the industrial zone was covered in thick smoke.
The fire was brought under control after approximately 4 hours of work, and cooling efforts by the teams at the factory are ongoing. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire, in which no injuries or loss of life occurred.
