A fire that broke out on the top floor of a 3-story building in Fatih, Istanbul, in the morning hours caused panic. Citizens trapped in the building were rescued by teams as the flames spread to the roof in a short time. 1 person lost their life in the fire, and 7 people were injured, 1 of them seriously.
A fire that started on the top floor of an apartment building in Istanbul's Fatih district in the morning hours grew rapidly and spread to the roof. As the flames rose, many people inside the building became trapped.

The incident occurred around 07:00 in a 3-story building located on Düriye Street in the Ayvansaray neighborhood. The fire, which started for reasons yet to be determined, quickly engulfed the third floor and the roof. Upon notification by neighborhood residents who noticed the heavy smoke, numerous fire, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the area.
Fire crews arriving at the scene began efforts to rescue the citizens trapped in the smoke-filled building. The injured, who were removed from the building through the intervention of the teams, were handed over to medical personnel and taken to nearby hospitals.

According to initial findings, 1 person lost their life in the incident, while a total of 7 people were injured, 1 of them seriously.
An investigation into the cause of the fire has been initiated.
