Fire panic at a 27-story hotel in Istanbul! 4 people hospitalized
A fire that broke out on the ground floor of a 27-story hotel in Sultangazi caused panic. While the fire was extinguished in a short time, domestic and foreign tourists staying at the hotel were evacuated. 4 people were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The fire occurred around 02:00 at a 27-story hotel located on Abdi İpekçi Street in the Karayolları neighborhood of Sultangazi. A refrigerator inside a room on the ground floor of the hotel caught fire for an unknown reason.
Due to the fire, smoke spread first to the room and then to other floors. Upon notification, numerous fire, health, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Fire crews extinguished the fire in a short time. Due to the heavy smoke, domestic and foreign tourists staying at the hotel were evacuated as a precaution, while 4 people affected by the smoke were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Other individuals who were slightly affected by the smoke received oxygen support in ambulances.
After the fire was completely extinguished and the smoke was cleared, those staying at the hotel returned to their rooms. Authorities have launched an investigation into the fire.
