Former party official dies of heart attack while driving
Mehmet Dündar, who fell ill behind the wheel in the Selendi district of Manisa, has died following a heart attack.
Mehmet Dündar, a well-known tradesman and a familiar figure in the local political scene in the Selendi district of Manisa, has died after suffering a heart attack while driving.
According to information obtained regarding the incident, 60-year-old Dündar was driving in the vicinity of Şehirlioğlu Neighborhood when he suddenly fell ill. It was determined by medical teams that he had suffered a heart attack, and Dündar was transported to Selendi District State Hospital by 112 Emergency Health personnel. However, he passed away despite all interventions.
Dündar, who worked as a tradesman in Selendi for many years, served as the Refah Party Selendi District Chairman during the Refahyol government era and held a position as a provincial general assembly member for the AKP between 2004 and 2008.
The unexpected death of Dündar, who was married and a father of 3, has caused deep sorrow in the district. It was reported that his funeral will be held today at the Çarşı Mosque following the afternoon prayer, after which he will be laid to rest in the family cemetery.
