The expected snowfall is coming to Istanbul: Watch out for January!
Ahmet Köse, 2nd President of the Chamber of Meteorological Engineers, announced that snowfall is expected in Istanbul for approximately 15 days between mid-January and the end of February.
The long-awaited news regarding the snowfall expected in Istanbul has arrived.
Ahmet Köse, 2nd President of the Chamber of Meteorological Engineers, made assessments regarding Istanbul's snowfall calendar.
Stating that no rain is expected in the first week of January, Ahmet Köse said, “There will be no rainy weather in the first days of the new year. However, as of January 7, precipitation will begin again with a cold air wave coming from the Balkans. Our expectation is that we will receive approximately 15 days of snowfall from mid-January to the end of February.”
Meteorology experts predict that the winter season will make its effect felt in Istanbul this year, pointing out that January and February, in particular, will pass with heavy snowfall.
