Moments of tension occurred in front of the Istanbul Courthouse in the morning hours. At around 10:10, a person who arrived in front of the courthouse with a gun caused panic among the citizens in the area.

According to the report by Sözcü, the individual pointed his gun into the air and fired consecutive shots, saying, “I have 3 children crying at home, they are afraid of the police. Their father is a state official.” He then pulled the trigger once more, stating, “I ran away for 2 days to come here and kill myself.”

Police teams were dispatched to the scene shortly after. During the teams' efforts to persuade him, the individual pointed the gun at his own leg and fired.

The injured person was neutralized by the police and taken into custody.
