In the Melikgazi district of Kayseri, a masked thief used a forklift, believed to be stolen, to smash through the shutters of a jewelry store, stole jewelry, and disappeared. Police teams have launched an investigation to apprehend the thief.
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred at a jewelry store located on Tekin Street in the İldem Cumhuriyet neighborhood of the district. A masked individual, whose identity has not yet been determined, broke the shutters of the jewelry store with a forklift and entered the shop.
Upon the alarm being triggered, numerous police teams were dispatched to the area.
Police teams took security measures in the surrounding area and conducted an investigation at the shop. It was learned that the individual, who was determined to have headed toward the safes in the shop, panicked when he could not carry the safe alone and fled after taking jewelry from the store.
Teams have launched an operation to catch the forklift-driving thief. Meanwhile, authorities are focusing on the possibility that the forklift was also stolen.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
