During the broadcast, Özgür U., who showed the cleaver and two knives he had placed in front of him in his garden and said, "Those who lack courage should not watch," continued to broadcast for about 30 minutes while playing the song "Namus Belası." When his mother entered the garden and saw the knives, she tried to take them but was unsuccessful. Swearing and saying, "Both of them will come here," Özgür U. ran toward his brother-in-law, Ertuğrul D., when he saw him, and disappeared from the frame. After a while, Özgür U. reappeared, covered in blood on his face and body, and ended the broadcast while swearing.

It was learned that Özgür U., who severely injured his brother-in-law by stabbing him multiple times, was apprehended by police teams, while his brother-in-law, E.D., was taken to the hospital. The suspect, who was referred to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station were completed, was arrested by the court.
