Identities of those who lost their lives in the Osmaniye accident have been determined
Seven people lost their lives and 11 were injured after a passenger bus crashed into a parked tow truck in the Bahçe district of Osmaniye. The identities of those who lost their lives have been determined following an investigation.
A major tragedy occurred in the early hours of the morning on the E-90 Highway in the Bahçe district of Osmaniye. A passenger bus traveling from İzmir to Gaziantep crashed into the rear of a tow truck that was waiting in the right lane due to a flat tire. The force of the impact shattered the front section of the bus, and many passengers were trapped inside the vehicle.
In the incident, which took place around 05:00, the driver of the tow truck with license plate 06 CSZ 834, H.K. (52), had pulled the vehicle onto the emergency lane due to a tire malfunction. At that moment, the passenger bus with license plate 27 AVD 454, driven by A.A. (42) and traveling in the same direction, struck the stationary tow truck at high speed while moving in the middle lane. Upon notification, health, gendarmerie, police, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that 7 people lost their lives at the scene, while 11 passengers were injured in the accident. The injured, who were trapped in the heavily damaged bus, were extracted through the intensive efforts of the teams and transported to nearby hospitals.
Following the investigation, the identities of the passengers who lost their lives were clarified. It was determined that the deceased were Esma Atlar (37) – registered in Gaziantep, Mehmet Kızıldoğan (42) – registered in Kahramanmaraş, Ahmet Keske (19) – registered in Kilis, Nezihe Avcu (55) – registered in Konya, Ökkeş Acet (56) – registered in Gaziantep, Yaşar Doğan (59) – registered in Gaziantep, and Eda Bayrak (36) – registered in Gaziantep.
The investigation initiated regarding the incident is ongoing.
