Influx of vehicles to Bodrum before the holiday: 50 thousand entries in 24 hours
Ahead of the Eid al-Adha holiday, 50 thousand vehicles entered Bodrum within 24 hours, bringing traffic in the district to a standstill.
Bodrum, a popular tourist destination in Muğla, is facing heavy vehicle traffic ahead of the Eid al-Adha holiday. While 50 thousand vehicles have entered the district in the last 24 hours, traffic has occasionally come to a complete halt, particularly on the Bodrum-Turgutreis road. Drivers were able to cover a distance of 2 kilometers in approximately 30 minutes.
As air temperatures in Bodrum rise to 31 degrees, sea water temperatures are expected to be between 22 and 24 degrees. Bodrum District Governor Mustafa Çit stated that weather conditions will be favorable throughout the holiday, adding, "There are dining and accommodation options suitable for every budget. We have taken the necessary precautions with 699 personnel and 139 vehicles consisting of police, gendarmerie, and coast guard teams."
The density in Bodrum is expected to continue throughout the holiday.
