Landslide on Mersin-Antalya road hits vehicle! The moment caught on camera

A landslide occurred following rainfall in the Sarıyar area of Yenikaş Neighborhood in the Aydıncık district on the Mersin-Antalya highway. Soil and rock fragments breaking off from the slope struck a moving car with the license plate 33 BBS 625.

While the vehicle was damaged by the impact, the driver, Okan K., was slightly injured. Upon notification, health, gendarmerie, and highway teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured driver received initial treatment at the scene, and it was learned that his life is not in danger.

Due to the landslide, the road was temporarily closed to traffic in both directions. The road was reopened to traffic following work carried out by highway teams using heavy machinery.

Meanwhile, the moment of the landslide was captured by the vehicle's dashcam during the incident. The footage shows the car suddenly being buried under soil and rock fragments coming from the slope, the airbags deploying due to the impact, and the windshield shattering.
