Mardin Governor's Office: Curfew lifted
The curfew imposed as of 8:00 PM on July 12 due to military operations in the rural Sümer neighborhood of Mardin's Dargeçit district has been lifted.
The Mardin Governor's Office announced that the curfew imposed as part of the operations conducted yesterday in Dargeçit has been lifted.
A written statement was issued by the Mardin Governor's Office regarding the lifting of the curfew.
The statement recalled that the curfew was in effect in the Sümer neighborhood and its hamlets.
The written statement included the following:
"Considering that the safety of life and property of citizens and the freedom of safe travel would be compromised, and in order to maintain public order, prevent the commission of crimes, and protect the rights and freedoms of others, a curfew was declared in the Sümer neighborhood and its hamlets in the Dargeçit district, limited to that area, effective from 8:00 PM on July 12, 2024, in accordance with the provisions of the Provincial Administration Law No. 5442, until the operation in the region concluded. The curfew in the Sümer neighborhood and its hamlets in the Dargeçit district has been lifted as of 8:00 AM on July 13, 2024."
