Neighbor terror in Yalova: Father attacked with a club while holding his 14-month-old baby speaks out
In the Çınarcık district of Yalova, a father and his 14-month-old daughter were hospitalized after being attacked by neighbors with whom they had a long-standing dispute over noise caused by children. The father, who was attacked while holding his baby, suffered a broken nose, while the little girl sustained a skull fracture. The father stated that they had been threatened previously and that the attack occurred despite a restraining order, adding that they fear for their lives.
In the Esenköy town of Yalova's Çınarcık district, a dispute between two families living in the same building over noise caused by children has ended in violence. The Baca family, who moved into the house they purchased about a year ago and have 4 children, stated that the problems they experienced with their neighbors had been escalating.
FATHER'S NOSE BROKEN, BABY HAS A SKULL FRACTURE
According to the information obtained, the incident took place on February 20. Muhammed Baca (34) was attacked with a club by his neighbor, Şener E., while he was carrying his 14-month-old daughter, İkra, in his arms. During the attack, Muhammed Baca's nose was broken, and little İkra sustained a skull fracture. The injured father and daughter were taken to Yalova Training and Research Hospital for treatment.

PERPETRATOR ARRESTED, SUSPECT WITH RESTRAINING ORDER RELEASED
Following the incident, Şener E. was taken into custody and subsequently arrested by the court and sent to prison. The other suspect, S.E., who previously had a restraining order against him, was released.
"THEY ARE FROM VAN, THEY ARE TRIBAL CHILDREN"
Recounting what he went through, Muhammed Baca claimed that the attack took place while gendarmerie teams were present at the scene, stating, "I last returned home with my daughter on Friday. When I encountered them on the street, he said, 'What are you looking at?' I went inside while fasting and called the gendarmerie. When the gendarmerie arrived, I went out, removed my dashcam, and handed it over to them. I said, 'I'm going to break my fast and come back.' My daughter was in my arms. I am not an irresponsible father who would take his daughter in his arms and go to a fight. They did this to me and my daughter in front of the gendarmerie personnel. My nose is still bleeding because it is broken. They were bothered by the noise and sound because I have 4 children. They said this is a summer resort area. Do we not have the right to live here? They are from Van, they are tribal children," he said.

"WE ARE AFRAID TO GO TO OUR HOME IN THIS CONDITION"
Emphasizing that the attack occurred despite a restraining order, Baca stated that they do not have security of life, saying, "Right now, my daughter has a skull fracture. My nose is broken too. We are afraid to go to our home in this condition. They hit us with a piece of wood while I was entering with my daughter. Half of the wood hit my shoulder, and the other half hit my daughter's head. The person who hit us was arrested, but the person who has been harassing us and my children for 9 months, and who has a restraining order and protection order against him, is still walking around freely. Where should I take my 4 children, who should we take refuge with, who should we ask for help? It is also in the records that we have received threats before, such as notes left with bullet casings saying 'Leave this place.' We are filing a complaint and want the necessary action to be taken," he said.
