New era for water bills in Istanbul

The Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ), affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, has added a new service to its smart subscriber offerings. With the "Create Your Own Bill" application, Istanbul residents will be able to read their own meters and process their bills via the İSKİ e-Branch.

The new system covers all residential subscribers in Istanbul, as well as users living in rural settlements, subscribers in summer resort areas, and official institution and municipal group subscribers. After logging into the e-Branch and uploading their meter index information and photos of their meters, subscribers can complete their transactions using a verification code.

SPECIAL CONTROLS AGAINST INCORRECT DECLARATIONS

İSKİ has developed special controls to increase the security of the application. If a value lower than the previous index is entered, users are automatically directed to an objection screen. Additionally, the system issues a warning if a difference of more than 80 percent is detected compared to the general usage average. This ensures the prevention of incorrect declarations and maintains transaction security.

A STEP TOWARD DIGITALIZATION

The institution emphasized that this system contributes to its digitalization goals and includes an eco-friendly approach. It was stated that the digital billing application, which will reduce paper consumption, will both simplify transaction processes and promote nature-friendly services.

İSKİ's "Create Your Own Bill" application offers subscribers the opportunity to generate their bills in a fast, secure, and environmentally friendly way. Through its digitalization-focused projects, the institution aims to both make life easier for citizens and contribute to the environment.
