Nurse who fell ill at the gym passes away
A 47-year-old nurse who fell ill while exercising at a gym in Zonguldak has passed away at the hospital where she was taken, despite all medical interventions.
In an incident that occurred in the evening at a gym in the Bahçelievler neighborhood of Zonguldak, Eda Kerim Tekin (47), a nurse working at the Turkish Red Crescent (Türk Kızılay) Zonguldak Branch, suddenly fell ill during her workout.
Upon notification, medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Tekin, who received her initial intervention at the gym, was taken by ambulance to the Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Hospital.
Despite all efforts by doctors, Tekin could not be saved while under treatment at the hospital.
It was learned that Eda Kerim Tekin had been working within the Red Crescent for 21 years.
