Panic on the highway as gas tanker speeds: Tanker exceeding speed limit causes fear!
A fuel tanker speeding through traffic in Istanbul revealed that a potential disaster was narrowly avoided; the dangerous journey was recorded second by second.
Footage recorded on Istanbul's roads has revealed that a potential disaster was narrowly avoided. While driving in the direction of Avcılar-Topkapı, activist Taner Saraç recorded a fuel tanker disregarding speed limits second by second.
UNABLE TO CATCH UP AT 90: "ITS SPEED REACHES UP TO 120 KILOMETERS"
In the footage, it is seen that the Aygaz tanker, with license plate 34 GHG 840 and marked as "Full," is traveling at excessive speed on the busy highway. Recording those moments, Saraç stated that even though his own vehicle was traveling at 90 km/h, he could not catch up to the tanker, and used the following expressions:
"The Aygaz vehicle is currently in front of me; it is continuing from the Avcılar incline toward Topkapı at 100-120 kilometers per hour. It is a full vehicle and at this speed... These are the vehicles that cause disasters."
NO RESPONSE FROM THE COMPANY
Following this situation, where the strict speed rules that vehicles carrying hazardous materials must follow were clearly violated, Taner Saraç stated that he reported the situation to the relevant company, Opet. However, it was learned that there has been no feedback or statement from the company despite the complaint filed.
