Presented fake police ID to officers: 2 individuals with 21-year prison sentences and 128 criminal records caught in İzmir
In inspections conducted by police teams across İzmir, two suspects were taken into custody: one with a finalized prison sentence of over 21 years, and the other caught with a fake police ID and wanted for 128 separate crimes.
The Motorcycle Police Teams (Yunus) affiliated with the İzmir Provincial Police Department's Public Security Branch continue their efforts against wanted individuals without interruption.
INDIVIDUAL WITH 21 YEARS AND 8 MONTHS PRISON SENTENCE CAUGHT
During inspections conducted by the teams across the city on January 14, a suspect identified as I.G. was stopped. A background check revealed that he had a finalized prison sentence of 21 years and 8 months for the crime of "dealing or supplying drugs or stimulants."
FAKE POLICE ID AND 128 SEPARATE FILES
In another operation carried out on the same day, an individual named M.O. was stopped by the teams. The suspect presented a fake police ID to the officers on duty. A detailed GBT (General Information Gathering) and UYAP (National Judicial Network Project) inquiry revealed that M.O. was wanted for 120 counts of "fraud," 3 counts of "threats," and 1 count of "breach of trust."
Furthermore, it was discovered that the suspect had a 7-month and 15-day prison sentence for 2 counts of "simple assault," as well as finalized prison and judicial fine sentences for 2 counts of "insult," totaling 128 separate files for which he was wanted.
The two captured suspects were referred to judicial authorities following their processing at the police station.
