Proposal submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey: Prison and fines for those who pollute national parks!

Prison sentences are being introduced for individuals who damage the environment, pollute water and air, destroy vegetation, or construct unauthorized buildings in national park areas. The AKP has submitted the first legislative proposals of the new term to the TBMM.

According to a report on NTV, under the 30-article proposal, those who disrupt the natural balance and ecosystem will face prison sentences ranging from 1 to 3 years and judicial fines of up to 5,000 days. Additionally, individuals who enter a park without paying the entrance fee will be required to pay an administrative fine equal to 14 times the fee.

LIMITED PERMISSION FOR TOURISTIC FACILITIES

According to the proposal, the construction of buildings or facilities for touristic purposes within national park boundaries may be permitted with the opinion of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.

Areas deemed suitable within this scope may be allocated for 49 years.

No construction can be carried out without the Ministry's permission.

In cases of necessity, water, electricity, communication, transportation, oil, and natural gas transmission lines may be routed through national park areas.

HUNTING RULES TIGHTENED

With the new regulation, an administrative fine of 10,000 liras will be imposed on those who hunt without a hunting license, 10,000 liras on those who hunt in prohibited areas, and 15,000 liras on those who hunt in "wildlife protection areas."

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT INTRODUCED FOR MARINE TOURISM

The second legislative proposal, which includes regulations on tourism and foundations, consists of 19 articles.

According to the proposal, the identity information and entry-exit dates of individuals staying on marine tourism vessels will be recorded. This practice aims to ensure security in tourism and prevent unregistered activities.
