Shocking incident in Bursa! She started a job she found online and was defrauded of 817 thousand TL
A woman in Bursa who applied for a job online was deceived by the owner of the workplace where she started working under the pretext of "raising her credit score." The young woman, who handed over her phone, realized that 817 thousand liras had been withdrawn from her account.
The incident, which took place in the Nilüfer district of Bursa, brought to light an unbelievable fraud experienced by a woman looking for a job online. 38-year-old B. Çakır was deceived by her boss at the workplace where she started working after applying to online advertisements.
According to the allegations, the workplace owner A.B. (47) asked for the young woman's mobile phone, saying, "let's raise your credit score." Abusing her trust, the boss took the phone for a few hours and then returned it. However, when B. Çakır returned home in the evening and checked her mobile phone, she experienced the shock of her life.
Seeing that mobile applications of various banks had been downloaded to her phone without her knowledge, the woman realized that large amounts of money had been transferred from her accounts. Upon the complaint of the victim, who reported the situation to the authorities, an investigation was launched into the incident.
Technical examinations revealed that the employer A.B. had copied B. Çakır's banking applications to his own device and, in this way, transferred a total of 817 thousand liras to his own account.
The Fraud Bureau teams acted quickly and detained A.B. After the procedures at the police station, A.B. was referred to the courthouse on June 13, 2025, and was arrested by the court and sent to prison.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
