Statement on co-payment from Mansur Yavaş

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) has launched a project that will serve as a model for Turkey, aimed at ensuring that minimum-wage earners and retirees can access healthcare services more easily.

'Health Co-payment Support' covers the medication, prescription, and examination co-payments for minimum-wage earners and retirees who receive social support and hold a Başkent Kart. To date, a total of 418 thousand 195 TL has been paid to 4 thousand 107 people whose applications for this support have been approved.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş made the following statement on the X platform:

'Neither health nor treatment can wait or be delayed due to financial hardship. With this understanding, our retired and minimum-wage earning citizens who receive social support will no longer have to buy medicine on credit for their treatments. We have made the first payment of 418 thousand 195 liras for the co-payments of the 4 thousand 107 citizens who applied to us. If all our fellow citizens in need apply, their co-payments will continue to be covered regularly every month. Rest assured. No one is alone in this city!'
