Stone-throwing attack on AKP district office in Balıkesir

A stone-throwing attack was carried out against the AKP Marmara District Presidency building in the Marmara district of Balıkesir at approximately 20:30. According to the information obtained, an unidentified individual, described as wearing a hoodie, threw stones at the party building and fled the scene.

Police teams dispatched to the area upon notification have launched an investigation in the vicinity. Security units are continuing their efforts to identify the suspect by reviewing security cameras and footage from the escape route.

AKP Balıkesir Provincial Chairman Mehmet Aydemir, in a statement regarding the attack, condemned the act against the party building and used the following expressions:

"We condemn in the strongest terms the stone-throwing attack carried out against our Marmara District Presidency. This mentality that attempts to design politics through violence, threats, and vandalism is unacceptable. Democracy speaks not with stones, but with words and the ballot box. We will never compromise our common sense, our belief in the national will, and our determination to fight within the framework of the law against those who hope for provocations. Our AK Party organizations stand tall today, just as they did yesterday, for the peace, unity, and solidarity of the nation. Get well soon, Marmara."
